The man’s act of protecting the helpless dog was a display of bravery, and what’s even more heartwarming is that he gave the puppy a second chance.
On Valentine’s Day, while heading to Texas to ride with his father, a biker named Brandon Turnbow demonstrated his love and compassion by putting everything on hold to help a small dog who was being mistreated.

As he rode along Highway 171, Turnbow witnessed a cruel man running down the roadway and hitting a little Jack Russell. Shocked by what he saw, Turnbow decided to confront the man. However, before he could respond, the man threw the puppy on the curb and ran off.
Concerned for the hurt and scared dog, Turnbow couldn’t bring himself to leave him alone and approached him cautiously. He was afraid the dog would run into the oncoming traffic, but to his relief, the dog didn’t move.

“I took a chance and folded my body over him to see if he would bite or trust me,” Turnbow shared on Facebook. “I stood up and picked him up off the bike seat as he began to rock his body against mine. ‘What happens now?’ I thought.”
Despite the urgency of the situation, Turnbow was mindful not to scare the dog any further. Before continuing on his journey, he started the motorcycle to help the puppy get used to the vibrations. Once the tiny Jack Russell appeared at ease, Turnbow placed him in his backpack.

“I saw this guy throw the dog up in the air and drive off in my rearview mirror,” the biker recounted. “I chased him down just to give him the number one sign.” With Mr. Davidson, the newly-adopted puppy, as his co-pilot.
On that same day, Turnbow adopted the puppy and named him Mr. Davidson as a tribute to his beloved Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The good news is that Mr. Davidson enjoyed riding on Turnbow’s motorcycle!

As I looked back as far as I could, I was amazed to see the dog appeared to be enjoying the ride. Mr. Davidson was thrilled to hear that the trip back to my house was just 45 kilometers long! He may have found me annoying at times as I obstructed his airflow.
The 10-year-old dog quickly settled in and developed a bond with his new owner. Mr. Davidson’s love for Turnbow was as strong as his love for the dog. He even wrote a heartfelt song about the furry companion.

Two years after being rescued, Mr. Davidson is still smitten with Turnbow. After a long day at work, the two enjoy unwinding by the fire!
Turnbow was fortunate to be in the right place at the right time to save this orphaned puppy. We are delighted to see these two bonding so well!
